Inspiration to Go

My husband rented Prairie Giant: The Tommy Douglas Story (see also (the official TV site) for the two of us to watch on Saturday night. It is one of the most inspiring movies (actually a CBC mini-series) I have watched in a long time. The story is superb, and the fact that it's based on a bonafide Canadian hero makes it all the more powerful.

And if you want to just about burst with inspiration, read some of these from the Tommy Douglas Research Institute. I love this one:

"We should never, never be afraid or ashamed about dreams. The dreams won't all come true; we won't always make it; but where there is no vision a people perish. Where people have no dreams and no hopes and aspirations, life becomes dull and a meaningless wilderness." - Tommy Douglas
